EYECRYPT is a browser-based image privacy and forensic utility.

Core functions:
- Inspect photo metadata locally in the user's browser
- Extract available EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, ICC, JFIF, camera, lens, timestamp, device and software information
- Check image container structures and readable embedded text
- Identify possible platform or transfer indicators from available metadata and file contents
- Screen for basic hidden-data indicators, appended data, embedded signatures and pixel-level LSB distribution anomalies
- Reconstruct the uploaded image as a new PNG using browser canvas processing
- Remove the original image wrapper and standard attached metadata such as EXIF, XMP, IPTC, comments and common container-level data

Privacy:
EYECRYPT is designed to process selected images locally in the browser. Images are not intended to be uploaded to an EYECRYPT server for metadata analysis or image reconstruction.

Important limitations:
Metadata may have been removed before a user receives an image. Missing metadata does not prove an image was not shared through a messaging service, social network or email. Steganography detection is heuristic and cannot prove the absence of hidden pixel-domain data. Canvas reconstruction removes original file-container metadata but preserves rendered pixels.
